Sum 41 has cancelled the rest of their Canadian tour dates due to complications with an injury that frontman Deryck Whibley suffered during a fight in a Japanese bar last year. From the Sum 41 website: “The injury that Deryck suffered last year after being assaulted at a bar in Japan has never fully healed and our demanding tour schedule has taken its toll on his body,” their statement reads. “We hate cancelling shows, but Deryck’s well being is our top priority and the best thing right now is to give him time to heal.
