To celebrate the first day of the Halifax Pop Explosion our bearded bass player Dan Ball has volunteered to take part in the 2011 Coast To Coast Polar Bear Challenge! The challenge is to take a winter dip in both the Pacific and Atlantic oceans within a 24 hour period, so today at 5PM, Dan Ball will fully submerge himself in the Pacific ocean at Mile-Zero in Victoria, BC.

Tomorrow morning Dan, along with the rest of Acres Of Lions, will embark on a cross Canada flight to Halifax, NS to attend the Halifax Pop Explosion, performing a showcase on Thursday, October 20th at The North Street Church.

Although we are unfamiliar with both the climate and the terrain in Halifax, the hope is that Dan Ball will re-submerge his body, this time into the Atlantic ocean, completing the Coast To Coast Polar Bear Challenge.
