June 20th and 21st “Someone needs to sign my nipples right now. I don’t care who. Now. Not later. NOW.” – Some kid at Jobfest, who we witnessed consuming 3 Red Bulls in under 20 minutes At last, our glorious return to Burns Lake! It had to be one of the hottest days at Jobfest 2012 by far, as our the crew’s collective and silly farmer-tans turned into sunburns. Our Jobfest crew pal Monica, the smart girl that she is, ran out in the middle of the day and purchased the biggest bottle of aloe-vera lotion you’ve ever seen, in preparation for our night of red-armed and shouldered agony. We even filled our hotel bathtub with ice, contemplating extreme measures to relieve the discomfort, but we figured it wasn’t worth
Jobfest 2012 Blog (Entry 22)
June 17th and 18th “Mommy, can I have them for my Birthday??” – Erin, the sweetest little girl in the world, in regards to our band Houston was one of the best Jobfest 2012 activations and shows of the tour so far! We started the day at the Houston Secondary School, entertaining and playing a few songs for The Wolverines, the lovely boys and girls that make up the Houston Marching Band. We discussed the joys, and the hardships, of being in a full-time touring band, gave a little advice on how to start your very own from the ground up and Dan also explained the greatness of “hitting the smoke-pit to and from jazz band class” that used to exist when he was in high school. This one was filmed on location in Abbotsford, BC back in April so it was still a little bit rainy. We just finished shooting a second video in Burns Lake, BC that shows the tour with a little more sunshine so stay turned for that one.

June 12th – 16th Jeff: “You’re SO lying.” Dan: “Whatever. It’s not a lie if YOU believe it.” Jeff: “You can’t bullsh** a bullsh***er, Dan. June 9th and 10th Jeff: “Shane, let’s fire up the BBQ M’man. Shane: “A.Y.C.H.B.” ‘Abbreviated way of saying “All You Can Handle, Bro.”‘ Oh my, what a fine day! Before we made tracks for Chetwynd, our next Jobfest 2012 stop on the map, we had a beautiful Saturday afternoon off in Dawson Creek. So we hit the butcher shop, the bottle shop and thus began preparations for an ultimate BBQ with our good pal Becky, and our buds in The Sunday Glow, Shane, Eric and Gary. The truly great part about this plan was that since Shane lived up here in the creek as a welder for a bit and is an amazing dude, he made some amazing friends.
