Yesterday legendary producer Mike Fraser mixed our new single, “Reaction”, and we couldn’t be happier.
He works in a beautiful studio in Vancouver called The Warehouse (owned by Bryan Adams), and his past credits cover a wide range of hugely successful artists including Metallica, Bad Religion, ACDC, Whitesnake, Sam Roberts, Rush, Aerosmith, Elvis Costello and many more. It’s really no surprise that the single turned out as great as we could have hoped.

The last step in the process, for those of you unfamiliar with how modern music gets made, is called Mastering. It’s the process of getting the song ready for iTunes or CD (that’s how your dad listens to music). Basically a scientist in a laboratory turns knobs on really fancy equipment to do a higher tech version of what the “treble” and “bass” knobs in your car stereo do. The song has already been sent to a great mastering lab in NYC called Sterling Sound, so hopefully in a couple days we’ll have a new single ready to release.
Please don’t get too excited, it still takes time to actually release a song. We need artwork and a bunch of other paperwork to be filled out before the track can be sent to iTunes, and then it takes some time for iTunes to put our song in the system. Once we’ve got all the details sorted out we’ll announce an official release date for the single, so stayed tuned for that. We can’t wait for you to all hear our new music!
