Happy MOvember to all!

Well hello there, friends! The past two weeks have been busy! We wanted to recap and share with you all of the things we were up to, just in case you missed the events! We also wanted to congratulate the Peak Performance Project finalists and all of our fellow Peak Performers and wish everyone the best of luck in their careers! As a few of our lovely fans have been saying to us recently, “You’re still number one in our books!” We love you all so very much.

Monday, November 1st: We, along with our good buddy @VinceVaccaro, went to The Zone 91.3 (thezone.fm) building to begin our month long endeavor into what it is becoming more commonly known as “MOvember.” (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Movember) And in the name of raising awareness and funds for mean’s health issues, our very own Dan Ball, a heavily bearded man of 6 years, decided to get his beard shaved off, live on the air. This began at 3:00pm, and coincided with the final announcements of The Peak Performance Project Top 5 finalists. So, in tandem, with us, and Vince, getting shaved on the air, as well as The Zone staff, we listened in to The Peak 100.5 between segments, and marveled over the results. Our good friends @aidanknight and @gregsczebel took 4th and 5th place, and in the Top 3, @Saidthewhale, @Kyprios, and our very own Vince Vaccaro. The atmosphere in the Zone studio after that was magical. We were so proud, and though we did not place, it didn’t matter. It was wonderful to see our friend Vince achieve such a thing and then express to all of his fans only moments after the announcements. He was certainly floored. His beautiful dog Alaska was there, equally as happy for him. We’ve attached photos of the event for further explaination (http://www.facebook.com/#!/album.php?aid=304807&id=339763011997)

Friday, November 5th: Our beloved, and recently clean-shaven, bass player, Dan Ball, had his go at The Zone’s special event known as “My Turn,” where a person from Victoria get’s a chance to go on the Zone, live at a chosen location, spin songs, answer questions and do the announcements for one hour. Sounds exciting, I know. Dan did a wonderful job and we have received some very kind words from fans about it. That evening we headed into Langford, to play at an all-ages show with friends. It was a fantastic show and everyone was very supportive. It was a tour kick-off show in order to raise money for our brothers “Fall In Archaea.” “Everyone Everywhere” also played, and despite a few technical difficulties, played an amazing set, as well as a new-ish act from Victoria,”We Are Leaving Wounds.” The show was good and the night was young. We just want to throw out a big thank you to everyone who came out to show their support and to our brother Cam Birchill for putting on the event, and Nev Gibson for, as always, providing great sound.

To date, which is Monday, November 8th, with the clocks rolled back and all of us still trying to adjust to the darkness, our writing and ethic continues. We just wanted you all to know that we are working hard and having a great time doing so. The new tunes are coming together wonderfully and we promise to keep you updated on our progress, and when there is more light shed on a name, release date for our new album, we will certainly share it with you! Thank you, everyone, and make sure to make it out to the Commodore on Thursday, November 18th to witness the Top 3 artists in the Peak Performance Artists slay and recieve their rightful crowns. It is going to be historical, so don’t miss it!
