Victoria House Concerts B
Thanks to Andy Briggs for another great house concert at Victoria House Concerts B! This time we had our friend Peter Gardner from Hawk & Steel and Kiana Brasset performing some songs with us. There were a ton of great photographers/videographers in attendance again. Here’s some of the shots they captured from the night: Filmed By: Andy Briggs Filmed By: Darren Ho Filmed By: Darren Ho Filmed By: Darren Ho Photo By: Tyson Elder >> read more

“It’s a water-slide or nothing at all. I’m putting my foot down.” – Tyson, angrily, as we enter Moosejaw. Still not sure what he means. Friday, March 16, Moosejaw We leave Calgary early in the morning. It’s shame too because it seems the nice weather has finally caught up to us, and we have to miss Tubby Dog, AGAIN. We take our time driving and the Star Wars Marathon continues in the back seat with Anthony and I, well into “A New Hope.” “Darth Vader is a pussy” and “Princess Leia’s a babe” and other such things following brain-dead nerdy chuckles are uttered from only us and we get pestered looks from the rest of the boys. Our journey brings us to Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, where, with the insistence of >> read more

“If I had to choose a white-person name from a list, it would be Batman. Batman Jones.” – Handsome Anthony in response to the question, “if you could pick a white-person name from a list, what would it be?” Wednesday, March 14, Edmonton On the tour so far, there have been two movie marathons. Anthony began with Star Wars Episode One: The Phantom Menace. Shameful, yes, but he explains, “I had to watch it, or it wouldn’t be a marathon, and the pod-racer scene is actually pretty good.” I agree, and throughout the trip he has been silently watching in the back seat of the van, making good time, in kilometres and film cells created by George Lucas’ sweat and tears probably. I took part myself in The Clone Wars >> read more

“What’s happening? Why is there a giant cock on my arm?” – Handsome Anthony in regards to the new tatoo we gave him while he slept Tuesday, March 13, Calgary Driving day. We challenge the Salmo-Creston Highway 3 mountain pass today, in all it’s frozen, winter glory. This time of year it is not a road you want to dare, but you do it anyway. This is a rock and roll tour, not a road trip, remember? Before we begin the trek to Calgary, we head into Nelson to pick up Dan and Handsome Anthony at The Balls (Yup, that’s right) The weather is fine as can be, except for every internet database telling us the pass is supposed to be closed. We leave in hopes it will open by >> read more

” I love the VCR. You put in the tape, relax and enjoy it right until the end.” – Tyson, in response to watching “The Jackal” on VHS Sunday, March 11, Nelson We wake up at 9:00 am and Handsome Anthony gets a hold of our “music-rope,” the tiny, fragile wire attached to our tape-deck adapter which makes music, other than randomly broadcasted scratchy soft jazz, marching band and country stations, happen. They are also $15.00 and difficult to find these days. Anthony is a hit machine and a pop-culture guru, therefore we listen to the new greats by Carly Rae Jepsen, Katy Perry, Kelly Clarkson, Adele, Marianas Trench, Hedley. And yes, of course, even Ke$ha. There is a brief dude-moment where we all talk about how cool it would >> read more
